The Modern Workforce – A Mediator’s Conversation with Business Guru Hank Moore

Dr. Barbara Manousso’s (http://manousso.us) featured guest Hank Moore (http://HankMoore.com) discusses The Modern Workforce with Mac Pierre-Louis & Natalia Olowska-Czajka of https://olowskapierre.com

Hank Moore starts us off discussing a time honored business model for any size company (big or small) utilizing his Business Tree™ dynamic. The Business Tree™ has 7 major parts… 5 primary branches, a trunk (6) and the base (7):

  1. The business you’re in
  2. Running the business
  3. Financial
  4. People
  5. Business development
  6. Body of Knowledge
  7. The Big Picture

Based on his book “Big Picture of Business” series (books 1-2-3-4) (nominated for a Pulitzer Prize), he ensures all parts of the Business Tree™ must be intact (fully operational) for the sake of sustainability & success. If not, companies go under as we saw during COVID-19.

One of the challenges companies face are generational gaps with regard to communication. Succeeding generations may not look to their predecessors to learn their successes; they start with a new playbook oftentimes without possessing the emotional intelligence & knowledge of the original mold.

Hank shares new graduates entering the workforce post 2000, for example, are in his opinion in lack of communication skills to a degree unknown before.

Here is where mediators can shine in their servitude as ombudsmen when they mediate between employee & employer.

Moreover, entrepreneurial mediators can become proficient in the 7 parts of the Business Tree™ safeguarding their own successes.

His insight is expansive even pouring into the music industry highlighting the changing conditions of the current economy.
