Bonnie explores the profound connection between childhood experiences and workplace behavior. As a former psychiatric nurse turned workplace conflict expert, she discusses how early family dynamics shape our responses to conflict at work.

She introduces the concept of the “Boss Whisperer,” in which she helps abrasive leaders gain self-awareness and improve their leadership style. She explains that by age 5 or 6, we develop conflict management patterns based on our family environment, whether becoming people-pleasers, avoiders, or controllers. Her keyword “pertenacity” – the combination of persistence and tenacity – is crucial in her outlook for we can all experience personal growth and change our conflict patterns, especially at work.
